The Genesis of (V)L$D
Fashion Design, Artistic Direction - 2024
(V)L$D is an artistic collective and clothing brand bringing together young designers from France and Germany, united by a shared passion for fashion, music and art. In 2024, they unveiled their very first capsule collection, Genesis, on which I had the pleasure of working as artistic director and stylist for the campaign.
With Genesis, (V)L$D reinvents the classic denim jacket
by superimposing lace inspired by vintage curtains.
It's a tribute to the DNA of the collective, which has made a name for itself by upcycling denim pieces, often from thrift store curtains. For this campaign, we wanted to capture a poetic and authentic vision: a return to our roots, carried by nature, waves and rocks. Genesis marks the beginning of a new page for (V)L$D, a celebration of transformation and reinvention.
